Title: Another Man’s Treasure and Undiscovered Treasure
Genre: Contemp. Erotic Romance
Flame rating: Scorching

Jude Delaney…A dark haired Adonis with a slightly kinky side. He fell in love with a red haired beauty in high school, only to have her torn from him and sent away. Miranda, his first love…his only love.
Ross Guthrie…A tall, sexy man who carries a gun. Jude’s best friend from college. More brother than friend. Ross now works for the FBI and his assignment sends him to Jude’s hometown…to protect Miranda.

Two best friends…Both determined to protect this woman at all costs. Will Jude and Ross have what it takes to save Miranda from Hank Castile…the man who abused her and now wants her dead?

Excerpt:
It had been a long time since Miranda lived in this white picket fence, one horse town. Willow, a sleepy little town located in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia, where Miranda called home as a child, held many memories of her adolescence…and a ghost or two. After her parents died in a car accident when she was 15, she was raised by her brother David. Miranda felt completely lost without her parents. David did the best her could, but no one could replace them. They were the epicenter of her life.

Shortly after her 18th birthday, she moved to the west coast. Los Angeles, to be exact…The City of Angels. Lights, excitement and a new career awaited her and she wanted it all. LA held a real estate job she loved, a night life she craved. Even so, she was compelled to come back after all that happened in LA.
Driving into town, she started to daydream, and immediately Hank flooded her brain. Miranda shook her head trying to remove him from her memories, but dammit he followed her everywhere! Hank always said she would never shake him, but for fuck’s sake she sure as hell was going to try.

Excerpt:
From the corner of his eye Hank noticed something odd with his office door. The padlock was there, but the lock wasn’t engaged. Hank touched the lock and it fell open. Fuck, I didn’t lock it this morning? He walked into his office and flipped on the light. At first glance, everything looked in place. He walked over to his desk and there was a note.
Hank...By the time you read this I will be long gone and you will be nothing more than a bad memory. You have given me your last order and hit me for the last time. You are an abusive son of a bitch and I am glad to be rid of you. PS…Before I left LA, I dropped a bunch of paperwork at the police station…good luck with that, you fuckin’ prick!
“You little bitch! I will kill you when I get my hands on you!” Hank shouted at the top of his lungs. A single thought streaked through his mind like a bolt of lightning. THE TAPES? He opened the desk drawer and the key was gone. Hank turned slowly towards the wall with all the file cabinets…one lock popped with the key still in it. Hank walked over to it and pulled the drawer open…empty! The tapes were gone. Hank dialed Miranda’s cell phone number.
“You’ll never get free from me, Miranda. You’ll never be able to shake me.”

I live in Northern NH, in my hometown. I have enjoyed reading and writing since I was a young child and wrote poetry since I can remember. Through my school years, I took every opportunity to take a literature or creative writing class. I worked in finance for 28+ years until Feb. 2012 when the company downsized and I lost my job. The opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream of writing a novel came about when a Facebook friend encouraged me to try after reading a couple blurbs I spit out upon being asked some advice! I took my vivid imagination, my gift of words which I attribute to God, and wrote my first novel Another Man's Treasure. Admittedly, I fell in love with my own characters and continued their story with my second novel Undiscovered Treasure.

I write romance/erotica and at some point in the future want to try my hand at paranormal and adventure/action. My biggest inspiration is my sister Jennifer. She has stood behind me all the way and given me so much emotional support. Along with her, I have some amazing friends who I refer to as "my cheerleaders". They keep me motivated along my writing adventure. When I am not writing, I have to admit I am an electronic junkie. If it has a push button, I either have it or want it!

Romancing the Stars Anthology

Genre: romance

Fantasies that will make you see stars

Sexy stars abound in this collection of five, naughty stories that take you from red carpet premieres to time off from the screen and the auditioning, filming, and parties in between. Featuring young love rekindled, old lovers reunited, multicultural and interracial red carpet hook ups with the potential for more, and a BDSM couple with unexpected proclivities, there's something to curl everyone's toes and leave them fans craving more.

Stories in the anthology:

A Sunday Kind of Love by Kacey Hammell
For Sunday Reardon, once an A-list actress, leaving the spotlight, hectic schedules and tabloid gossips behind for the quiet tranquility of her hometown was the best decision she ever made. She’s surrounded by her family, her gardens and has everything she needs. Except the love of her life, a past co-star who offered so many promises years ago, only to break them all.

When she’s nominated for an Academy Award, Sunday’s world shifts into confusion and what-might-have-beens as she comes face to face with the one man who broke her heart…and still sets her body on fire.

Red Carpet Release by Emma Lai
Kalea Janssen is happy with her life behind the camera, but when the on-screen talent gets sick, she does what any good producer would, she covers the red carpet affair. The only problem is wardrobe. She has to squeeze her size 14 top into a size 10.

When seams fly at the worst possible moment, enigmatic movie star Eric Flynt, with some prodding, offers his jacket and escorts her from the scene to a private room where she can repair the damage.

Once alone, will both be more interested in seeing Kalea fully released from her clothing?

Special Guest Appearances by
Stephen Raymond and Rachel Harrington from First Take

Private Screening by Sandra Sookoo

J.D. Perkins is living the dream. He’s Hollywood’s hottest black movie star with the world at his feet—until he meets a curvy redhead at a private screening. She has no idea who he is and isn’t dialed into his fame, but the rush of desire he feels for her is all too real.

Meghan Darling is attending the glitzy affair as a favor, but she’d rather be at home reading or writing children’s stories. Mixing with Hollywood’s A-list makes her as uncomfortable as the stilettos she’s wearing, yet there’s something about J.D. she can’t ignore.

A spur of the moment decision on J.D.’s part ushers in an evening of incognito antics—no names, no jobs, nothing except fantasy… except Hollywood is a more sticky web than either of them counted on. It’ll take determination and star power to bridge the worlds separating these two.

Silver Screen Dom by Marie Tuhart
Michael Levin is a rising Hollywood star up for a career-making role. The pressure is intense, but thankfully the leading lady in his life, Kelsey Pierce, knows just how to wield the whip and ease his tension. However, when his potential co-star schemes to take Kelsey’s place in his off-screen life, Michael has to switch to Master mode, a role he’s more than comfortable with, and assume command.

Can Michael and Kelsey’s relationship withstand the strain, or will they survive the games and find long-lasting love?

Special Guest Appearance by
Nicki Masters from Movie Magic

Take Two by Lacey Wolfe

Years ago, Chloe Flowers lost her virginity to Sean Cooper, before he was a hot shot Hollywood star. When he left Bradberry, she stayed behind and built a life that included regular visits to help his grandmother, the same woman who has a secret plan to re-unite the two lovers.

Claiming she is sick, Ms. Cooper lures Sean home. Then she asks Chloe to come by and take her to the grocery store. Only when Chloe shows, Ms. Cooper has gone gambling with a friend, leaving Sean all alone in the house.

Should Chloe take advantage of the set-up and have a weekend she'll never forget or leave before old feelings resurface?

Enchanter by Kristy Centeno

Genre: Young Adult

Leah Parker is furious when she finds out she’s been paired up for a class project with deadly silent, tough as nails, and incredibly intimidating Brandon Morris. Though she’s known him for years, Leah has made it a priority to stay away from him for a reason. As they are forced to spend time together however, Leah comes to find that there is more to Brandon than what meets the eye.

When a series of unexpected events forces Brandon to reveal his true identity, Leah suddenly finds herself fighting to come to terms with who he is and with the fact that by fulfilling his destiny she will come to lose the only guy she’s ever loved. As a family secret is unveiled and old threats possess new risks, they both have to find the strength to do what is expected of them. Even if that means losing each other in the process.

Love brought them together. His bloodline threatens to pull them apart. Will Brandon choose duty over love? Or will other forces far beyond their control separate them first?

Excerpt:

Brandon tore his lips away from mine so he could explore my neck, nipping and nibbling as he traveled the length of it. Deliberately, gently, passionately, he kissed a path down my skin and paused only when he reached my naked shoulder. “So soft,” he murmured, the hoarseness of his voice forcing my body to break out in goose bumps.

My fingers intertwined in his hair, forcing the long locks out of the black bow keeping it neatly tied at the nape of his neck. As soon as it came loose, his dark hair cascaded around his face like a curtain, making him look like some exotic creature of the night.

“Brandon…” I glanced up at his pale blue eyes, admiring the beauty of them. “Kiss me… please.”

He immediately obliged, devouring my lips with so much intensity it caused my knees to wobble. Heat, fast and powerful, spread through my body in rapid sequences as our tongues playfully toyed with each other and our bodies touched. I moaned when the feel of his strong, hard, and warm body pressed against mine. I did enjoy his masculinity and how wonderful it felt to have his hands massaging my back.

Feeling the need to explore, I untangled my fingers from his long mane and slowly allowed my hands to glide down his neck, and to his upper torso where they paused just over his pectorals. The tips of my fingers slowly slithered over his hard-as-steel chest and there they lingered for a while, exploring, touching, and feeling. Ever so slightly, they lowered to his abs, which despite the jacket and white shirt, I detected to be just as defined as the rest of him.

My greedy fingers worked their magic over Brandon, who immediately groaned and pulled away from me. His breath was ragged, his eyes filled with lust, his body language tense.

“Leah… I…”

A movement over his left shoulder caught my attention and I no longer focused on him or on what he was saying.

“Brandon, I don’t think we’re alone anymore,” I murmured as another flash of whiteness rushed from one side to the other, some ten to fifteen feet from us. It was too dark for me to determine who it was, but I was certain of one thing: we were being watched.

The Heart and the Hunter

Genre: Romance

After a devastating accident, Barret Atkins has accepted a quiet, solitary existence. His life is turned upside down, when he finds the badly injured Kansas Smith, left for dead in a case of mistaken identity. As Kansas begins to recover, Barret must face some deep scars of his own. When the couple begin to fall for each other, their lives spin into a revival of past hurts, jealousies, and betrayals, causing Barret to put a halt to their budding relationship.

Barret’s hesitation causes his best friend-turned vicious rival, Duncan Craig, to pursue a friendship with Kansas. Where will this leave Barret? Can they all hold on long enough to escape Kansas’s attacker, and will they ever conquer their own inner demons intent on keeping them apart?

Excerpt:

On Saturday morning, Kansas could wait no longer. She could no longer live under the same roof with a man she was deeply in love with without telling him how she felt, and finding out once and for all how he truly felt about her. Now she stood leaning back against the counter sipping a cup of coffee, her stomach ached from nerves for what she was about to do.

Most of the night she was awake rehearsing speeches on the same theme--confessing her love to Barret. Now all her carefully rehearsed words failed her.

Barret sat at the kitchen table in t-shirt and jeans, absorbed in the newspaper. A shadow of a beard emphasized his maleness.

Setting the cup on the counter, she took the few steps to stand beside the table. “Barret, why don’t you like me?” she blurted, immediately wishing she could bite back her words.

Looking up from his newspaper, his eyebrows slashed together. “Excuse me?”

Confusion consumed her, and she felt trapped and exposed, hesitant to continue. When he stood, she wanted to shrink away from him.

“Whatever gave you the idea that I did not like you?”

The demanding look in his blue eyes only made the words harder to form. Finally, she found her voice. “I love you, and you don’t love me,” she finally admitted.

His shoulders visibly stiffened and the color drained from his face. Obviously, she caught him off guard. “I...I do love you, Kansas. But...but I don’t love you like you mean,” he stuttered.

Her heart sank heavily in her chest. She raised her chin and looked back at him. She had to know. “What is it about me you don’t like?”

“I like everything about you, Kansas. No, I love everything about you,” he told her as he planted his hands firmly on her shoulders causing her to want to crawl out of her skin and away from his touch. She’d said way too much,  and upset their whole stable situation.

Finally, she looked into his confused eyes. “I’m sorry, Barret. I just couldn’t go on like this. Just tell me what it is about me that...” her voice trailed off as she slowly came to terms with the fact that he didn’t love her as a woman.

Lifting her chin, he forced her to make eye contact with him. “Listen, angel, it’s not you, you’re absolutely perfect,” he told her,  and  smiled a smile she knew was forced.

“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, and you’re an amazing person. You can have any man you want, but I’m not the right man for you,” he said gently.

Continuing to maintain eye contact with him, she decided she wasn’t going to allow him to get off with such a broad response “Why?” she demanded.

“The accident changed me, Kansas. I’m not the same man I was before it happened, and I’m glad for that. You wouldn’t have liked me then. I was an arrogant, self-absorbed bastard, and now I’m not sure who I am anymore,  or what I really want. But I do want you to know that if things had been different, and I wish they were...”

Finally, she could take no more. “I got it, Barret,” she said shaking loose of his grip and turning away.

“It’s just the hero thing, Kansas. You’ll get over it. You think you love me because I saved you that horrible day in that swamp. When some time passes, you’ll realize you’d never be happy with an almost forty year old detective. You would only resent me for taking you away from your old lifestyle.”

She whirled to face him, her hands on her hips. “Why you arrogant… You don’t know me at all!” Finally, she lost the battle not to cry and tears poured freely down her cheeks. “I thought we were so close, but I guess I was completely off base about that. I don’t care about money or scars! I only care about you! We could have been so happy--”

The doorbell rang cutting off Kansas’s words and she felt some relief that it had interrupted her intense venting. She felt like such a fool now.

She’d received the answer she was after.  Unfortunately, it was not the one she wanted to hear.

Book Spotlight + Giveaway: The Unholy by Paul DeBlassie III

A young curandera, a medicine woman, intent on uncovering the secrets of her past is forced into a life-and-death battle against an evil Archbishop. Set in the mystic land of Aztlan, The Unholy is a novel of destiny as healer and slayer. Native lore of dreams and visions, shape changing, and natural magic work to spin a neo-gothic web in which sadness and mystery lure the unsuspecting into a twilight realm of discovery and decision.

Excerpt

Lightning streaked across a midnight dark sky, making the neck hairs of a five-year-old girl crouched beneath a cluster of twenty-foot pines in the Turquoise Mountains of Aztlan stand on end. The long wavy strands of her auburn mane floated outward with the static charge. It felt as though the world was about to end.

Seconds later, lightning struck a lone tree nearby and a crash of thunder shook the ground. Her body rocked back and forth, trembling with terror. She lost her footing, sandstone crumbling beneath her feet, and then regained it; still, she did not feel safe. There appeared to be reddish eyes watching from behind scrub oaks and mountain pines, scanning her every movement and watching her quick breaths. Then everything became silent.

The girl leaned against the trunk of the nearest tree. The night air wrapped its frigid arms tightly around her, and she wondered if she would freeze to death or, even worse, stay there through the night and by morning be nothing but the blood and bones left by hungry animals. Her breaths became quicker and were so shallow that no air seemed to reach her lungs. The dusty earth gave up quick bursts of sand from gusts of northerly winds that blew so fiercely into her nostrils that she coughed but tried to stifle the sounds because she didn’t want to be noticed.
